Thank you for the FOI enquiry requesting information on:
- product supplies to NHS bodies (logistics), as follows:
- does NHS have a centralised shipping and logistics operation that distributes products as needed or does each hospital/clinic place orders through regional authorities?
- does NHS provide storage of surplus product or do distributors?
- is quality control upon delivery the responsibility of NHS, local health authorities or distributor? This is important because the manufacturer needs to know when the signoff for product delivery takes place.
